The Annual Development Effectiveness Review (ADER) is a key product in the annual calendar of publications of the African Development Bank (AfDB, or the Bank). The ADER examines Africa’s overall development performance across a range of sectors and thematic areas, and assesses how effectively the Bank has contributed through its lending operations and other activities. It also assesses the health of the AfDB portfolio and how well it is developing as an organisation.
