Where will we be in six months, a year, 10 years from now? I lie awake at night wondering what the future holds for my loved ones. My vulnerable friends and relatives. I wonder what will happen to my job, even though I’m one of the lucky ones: I get good sick pay and can work remotely.

Nigeria tightens controls on foreign exchange
The Nigerian central bank has imposed new foreign exchange controls to try to stem the flow of dollars out of the country. It means importers will not be able to get hard currency to buy a list of 40 items ranging from rice to cement. The list includes Indian incense, plastic and rubber products, soap and even private jets.
